YES PROSPERITY IS GOD’S GIFT
• “Then you say in your heart,” My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth”. and you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His convenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day”______________Deutoronomy 8v17-18;
• “Here is what I have seen: It is good and fitting for one to eat and drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labour in which he toils under the sun all the days of his life which God gives him; for it is his heritage. As for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, and given him power to eat of it, to receive his heritage and rejoice in his labour-this is the gift of God.’.

To assist our debaters, I want to site the books of
1. Acts2v38 on the day that Christianity was inaugurated over 2,000 years ago in which said ,” Repent and be baptized everyone of you and you will receive the HOLY SPIRIT.” And
2. Luke 11v13 where God promised to give the Holy Spirit to those who ask for Him.
3. Matthew 6v33 in which the Lord said “Seek you FIRST the Kingdom of God and Its righteousness and every other things will be added unto you”. It is my believe that Wealth is one of the ‘Every Other Things’, so if a Christian is overemphasizing Prosperity alone in the Gospel blessings, he may miss not only his salvation, but all other things.
4. 2 Corinthians 6v16,1v22,Galatians 4v4-7-where the Holy Spirit will be deposited in your heart upon repentance and baptism as a seal of being a member of God’s family.
5. Romans 8v9b-If anyone does not have the spirit of God, he does not belong to God/Christ.
I suppose having the Spirit of God is more important than all the riches of this world.

HOW HOLY SPIRITUAL IS YOU?
The Lord Jesus Christ promised His Believers the gift of the Holy Spirit (John 7v37-39).
Wherever church or doctrine you have the sentiment for, if you do not have the Holy Spirit you are not a Believer of Jesus Christ (Romans 8v9b,Acts 19v1-6).
So take this test to, at least confirm whether you are short of the requirements of the Lord and make amendments so that the promises of Jesus Christ can be fulfilled in your life.

THE TRUE WORSHIPPERS
God Almighty is looking for True Worshippers-John 4v24.
That is, Christians who will worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.
Are you a True Worshipper? If you are not, please start to be one today.
You may ask me about the real meaning of worshipping God in truth and in Spirit.
Literarily, to worship God in truth means to be very honest with yourself that you solely depend on Him alone for everything and that there is no single lie in you.
Remember, for whatever lies that you tell whether small or big in your field of endeavour, you are simply confirming yourself as a son of satan and not a son of God because the scripture says that satan is the father of lies and he has been lying since he fell from grace-John 8v44. There is no truth in him; hence, there is no truth in his followers.
Satan’s human followers are liers, deceivers and the like so you have to tell the truth at all times in all places and circumstances to show that you are a worshipper of God Almighty.
A little lie makes you son of Satan. Stop deceiving yourself.
To worship God in Spirit means that you are not carnal at all times in your Christian life.
To be carnally minded is death and to be spiritually minded is life and peace-Romans 8v6.
A carnally minded Christians depends on what he sees, what he hears and what other people tell him to take his decision.
He depends on his five senses to worship God.
That is the sense of seeing smelling, hearing, eating and speaking for his Christian life.
If he does not see he cannot believe, hence he cannot have any faith.etc.
There is no way you can please God if you are carnally minded-Romans 8v8.
In fact, you are an enemy of God and whatever approach you use, whether you cry to God or you fast yourself to almost death, your worship will not be accepted, hence, you are a cheap meat to Satan.
Remember, satan has no legal spiritual right over you if you are pleasing to God Almighty-1 John 5v18.
Satan cannot harm you if you are truly faithful to God. He has no legal or spiritual right over you as long as you live the life in the spirit of Christ Jesus.
So be a true worshipper so that your prayers can be answered.
God is merciful and He is ready to forgive you if you accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour.
This will qualify you to be baptized in the Holy Spirit which gives you the power of God to ask and be given, to seek and found and to knock so that the door of every good things can be open to you.
You will obviously receive good things all the days of your life if you worship God in truth and in Spirit.
Remember, He neither sleeps nor slumber because of you so no evil thing can harm you if you totally depend on God Almighty alone for everything.
If you are a true worshipper, all the promises of God will come to pass in your life.
You don’t have to depend on any human being as your mentor or mediator with God.
You too can hear directly from Him-John 16v13.
You can have direct assess to Him through His word by His Spirit.
Just have absolute faith in Him, live a Holy life and you will be as powerful as most of the powerful men of God in the world today.
That is, Christians who will worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.

BAPTISM PROCESS
Only the Lord Jesus Christ has the power to baptize a true Believer in the Holy Spirit. He may delegates any of His chosen few to baptize a repentant Believer (Acts 9v17, 19v5-6 )or directly baptize him by Himself (Acts 2v1-4)
The more you do the will of God, read the scriptures, the more you are sure to be baptized in the Holy Spirit.Remember, the Holy Spirit is given by the grace of God not by your work of righteousness (Ephesians 2v8-9,Titus 3v5) and the Holy Spirit is a gift of God which is given at Conversion. It is when the Holy Spirit is given that you are saved (Romans 8v9b)
The baptism of the Holy Spirit takes place when your Spirit is immersed in the Spirit of God. Remember the Holy Spirit joins with your Human Spirit to declare that you are a child of God (Romans 8v16)
You will know that you have been baptized in the Holy Spirit because your Human Spirit will testify to you that you have been baptized in the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit will lead you in every thing when He is in you.
When you are baptized in the Holy Spirit,He,will be placed in your heart to do every thing for you in Christ Jesus (Galatians 4v5-6,2 Corinthians 1v21-22).
When you are baptized in the Holy Spirit, the position of God in your life will be POWER (Acts 1v8 ).
This means that there will be :-

-A true Christian or a true saint or a true born again Christian is the believer who is baptized in the Holy Spirit-Act 19v1-6;
-The Conversion Process is the process of being converted from a state of unsaved –full of sinfulness and unrighteousness to a state of being saved-full of righteousness, sanctified and justified.
-For one to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, He/She must: -
=Hear the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ;
=Believe the Gospel in his/her heart;

=Acknowledge that he/she is a sinner;
=Admits to God that he/she is guilty of all sins he /she had committed;
=Confesses his/her sins and repent (turn away) from the sins;
=Be delivered of his/her sins in the power of the Holy Spirit by a person who is already baptized in the Holy Spirit;
=Continue to grow in faith through the worshipping God in spirit and in truth, living by the spirit, reading the scriptures, meditating on the scriptures day-to-day and hour by-hour;
=Wait patiently and expectantly for the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

SPIRITUAL UNDERSTANDING
The spiritual effectiveness of contemporary Christians in the world has been very very low.
That is why they have been running helter skelter in their Christian life.
They are bewildered, frustrated and confused because they have not been able to realize what their leaders promised them in Christ Jesus.
The Great Commissions have been turned to the Great Omission.
It is now a matter of competitions, money making and earthly enjoyment of mundane things of this world rather than of spiritual conviction, spiritual maturity, spiritual effectiveness and eternal life.
The lack of spiritual understanding of the Holy Book is the beginning of powerlessness and was caused by carnal understanding of the Good News.
Remember to be carnally minded leads to death while to be spiritually minded leads to life and peace (Romans 8v 6).
The blessings received from carnal understanding of the Holy Scriptures include worldly wealthy, bodily health, social belongings and disillusionment caused by the absence of the spiritual gifts resulting from spiritual interpretation of the Bible.
The blessings of spiritual understanding is obviously as promised in Mark 16v15-17 which states that,” He said to them,’ Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well”.
This is the standard for knowing a confirmed believer of Jesus Christ.
Please know that He did not say that you should court troubles and problems by deliberately picking up snakes or drinking deadly poisons. But He is saying that perchance they faced any problems, His Grace will be sufficient to see them through the problems.
We emphasize this particular verse because we realize that in Christendom today, there are some sects who tempt God by testing whether snakes poison will affect them. They bring snakes to the church and let them bite them as a test that they are true believers. They invariably get harmed in the process of practicing their fanatical and carnal interpretation of the Bible.
What we need as true Christians is spiritual interpretation of the Holy Book in order to enjoy the promises of the Lord.
What do we mean by spiritual interpretation?
First of all, let us highlight the injunction of our Lord to what is expected of us in worshiping God in John 4v21-24 which says,” Believe me, woman a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this (Samaritan) mountain nor in Jerusalem. You Samarians worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. Yet a time is coming and the time has now come when the true worshippers will worship the Father in Spirit and Truth, for they are the kind of worshippers the father seeks. God is spirit, and His worshippers must worship Him in spirit and in Truth.”
In order to be able to worship God ‘in Spirit and in Truth’, Believers must be baptized in the Holy Spirit.
Remember Act 19v1-6,when Paul met some Believers in Ephesus and asked them,” Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you became believers?” And they answered him,” we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit”,
In the same way, many believers in contemporary times have not heard of the Holy Spirit, yet they claim to be Christians.
Those who have heard of the Holy Spirit at all are misconstrued about his role, works and functions in salvation and Christian living. That is why they are not effective for Christ Jesus.

That is why they have been running helter skelter in their Christian life.
They are bewildered, frustrated and confused because they have not been able to realize what their leaders promised them in Christ Jesus.
The Great Commissions have been turned to the Great Omission.
It is now a matter of competitions, money making and earthly enjoyment of mundane things of this world rather than of spiritual conviction, spiritual maturity, spiritual effectiveness and eternal life.
The lack of spiritual understanding of the Holy Book is the beginning of powerlessness and was caused by carnal understanding of the Good News.
Remember to be carnally minded leads to death while to be spiritually minded leads to life and peace (Romans 8v 6).
The blessings received from carnal understanding of the Holy Scriptures include worldly wealthy, bodily health, social belongings and disillusionment caused by the absence of the spiritual gifts resulting from spiritual interpretation of the Bible.
The blessings of spiritual understanding is obviously as promised in Mark 16v15-17 which states that,” He said to them,’ Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well”.
This is the standard for knowing a confirmed believer of Jesus Christ.
Please know that He did not say that you should court troubles and problems by deliberately picking up snakes or drinking deadly poisons. But He is saying that perchance they faced any problems, His Grace will be sufficient to see them through the problems.
We emphasize this particular verse because we realize that in Christendom today, there are some sects who tempt God by testing whether snakes poison will affect them. They bring snakes to the church and let them bite them as a test that they are true believers. They invariably get harmed in the process of practicing their fanatical and carnal interpretation of the Bible.
What we need as true Christians is spiritual interpretation of the Holy Book in order to enjoy the promises of the Lord.
What do we mean by spiritual interpretation?
First of all, let us highlight the injunction of our Lord to what is expected of us in worshiping God in John 4v21-24 which says,” Believe me, woman a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this (Samaritan) mountain nor in Jerusalem. You Samarians worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. Yet a time is coming and the time has now come when the true worshippers will worship the Father in Spirit and Truth, for they are the kind of worshippers the father seeks. God is spirit, and His worshippers must worship Him in spirit and in Truth.”
In order to be able to worship God ‘in Spirit and in Truth’, Believers must be baptized in the Holy Spirit.
Remember Act 19v1-6,when Paul met some Believers in Ephesus and asked them,” Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you became believers?” And they answered him,” we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit”,
In the same way, many believers in contemporary times have not heard of the Holy Spirit, yet they claim to be Christians.
Those who have heard of the Holy Spirit at all are misconstrued about his role, works and functions in salvation and Christian living. That is why they are not effective for Christ Jesus.
In order to have the fuller understanding of the promise of our Lord Jesus Christ concerning the Holy Spirit, the part the Holy Spirit will take in our salvation, the basic works of the Holy Spirit in our lives, kindly read the following passages in the Bible:-

PARAKLETUS IS A GREEK WORD THAT MEANS ‘COMFORTER, HELPER, GUIDE, AND TEACHER’. THESE BIBLICAL DESCRIPTIONS FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT, WHO OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST PROMISED TO SEND TO TRUE BELIEVERS IN HIM.
